COSI came for a visit!

COSI was at our school on Tuesday!  The program was all about the planets.  The presenter led us on an imaginary trip to space.  Above is a picture of her "setting off" the rocket to take us to space!

A couple of our classmates were chosen to go up and be a planet.  We had Mercury and Jupiter.
We learned we would not want to go there because of the temperature. 

We learned about the different states matter; solid, liquid, and gas. Above a first grader is demonstrating how solid molecules stick together.

 This experiment talked about air pressure. Hmmmm...that looks uncomfortable!
