I am looking forward to a fun and exciting year! In first grade each student will have a poetry journal that will be sent home every Friday. Please have your child read the weekly poem to you. Then on the back write a note to your child reponding to the poem. Please do not write in cursive. Your child will be encouraged to share your note in class and we are not ready for cursive yet :) ! The poetry notebooks return to school on Monday.
Please wear gym shoes on Tuedays and Fridays.
